Hydrissian "Dartwing" Bikes Coming Soon!

Well, Rod's certainly been busy lately, and it shows! These are the newest additions to AFG's Star Mogul Range. These bikes are oddly aerodynamic in an alien kinda' way, don't you think?

Also, I've got all my Human stuff built and primed. Just gotta' wait for the 'Run to be announced. Until then, I'll have the "Dartwings" when they come out, as well as some other Hydrissian stuff to prime from my last order. The Scavenger Drone was a pain to build, but the finished model is very nice. It's gonna' be a pain to prime and paint it too, though. Maybe I'll just use a spray primer, eh? : )

I Got My Order

Well, I got my order on Friday evening when Rod came over to play. It's all built and ready to paint. I'm working on a new roster for the 'Run so I'll know what I can paint and what I'll have to hold off on. I'll get some pics of my order on later today or even tomorrow.

The game went well. It was a three company game with three different races. Rod used his Miners really well to keep us away from salvage counters and such. The Humans were constanty under fire from Rod's Miners and my Hydrissians. No one got salvage rights, but I was a few inches away from getting the 5th and final salvage counter onto my Scavenger Drone to haul it back to the DZ. I think Rod's doing a battle report for this game, so watch his site.

BREAKING NEWS: It's rumored that ENASA have been seen in their natural habitat on an unnamed planet!

On another note; Rod's coming for a game tonight. He says he's playing with Miners, but I doubt he'll follow through with his odd little remarks and win tonight. Dad's playing Humans, and I'm playing Hydrissians. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I got some more cool sketches for the Design Competition. I've got a Mephalian vehicle and a cool looking Hydrissian..... Never mind.... I can't spoil it.

Design Competition

Well, just recently on the AFG forums there was a new contest announced. Basically, we have to sketch a cool concept for a new mini. The winner's entry gets sculpted and put into production by AFG. Rod has set up a poll about what the AFG fan community wants to see more minis of. There were a bunch of choices including, but not limited to: More Hydrissians, Space Pirates, salvage company bosses, and " entirely new alien species alltogether". The latter, as the fans have become accustomed to calling it, is now known as "ENASA".

So, folks, vote ENASA in your local elections today!

....I think I'll make some t-shirts!

My Demo 'Bot

This is a Demolition 'Bot from the AFG range..... Cool huh? He's got some muddy feet with splashes on the hydraulics. Also, he's got a big scar on his face on the left side. You can kind of see where his optical sensor has dimmed to black and is cracked where the gash goes through.

Anyway, I've got to go watch my show now. I'll get another angled pic for you guys tomorrow, eh?

Well, it's snowing in NH! Anyways, I just put in an order to AFG and should be getting it on Friday. The stuff that's not for the Great Salvage Run 2007, I'll start painting ASAP. The stuff that is, well, I'll just hang tight 'till the 'Run is announced. Later, I'll post some pics of my current Hydrissian Salvage Company, Zumarak's Lost.
